XBox is probably not a very famous gaming console back in Pakistan , the main reason is because at first Sony’s Play station has dominated the entire console gaming market with the launch of its PS 1 , PS 2 and now the hit of all PS 3. The second main reason that Xbox a Microsoft product is either too expensive for people to handle out here, with nearly no support in the games available out here.

XBox 360  though i don’t own one but is a great thing to be but when you go to the market to purchase games and cds (e.g Hitman, Age of Empires, Motorcycle DVDs, Racing games like Need for Speed etc) you won’t find much variety and even if you get them am sure they are top level pirated dvds with a very bad quality that either won’t run in the first place and if they really do, the graphics quality reminds you of the VHS era and not to forget to mention the life of such cds and dvds is hardly 20 time insertion to the console and than you’re all done! And than you think Microsoft woud expect its revolutionary XBox 360 to prevail over the market which has so much and better to offer for PS users.

We’ve been on the rent house for over a year now till my father finally found a good peace of land in a good area in Abbottabad and started the construction on it. Though i never liked Abbottabad as a place to live permanently because its nearly a dead city as they call it, mostly with old age people living there just because of the great weather and peaceful nature the town has. The place however is not that bad but i hate it because the town shuts off sharp before 11PM which is just the beginning of my full swing time;).

Anyways the house that my dad started probably over 4-5 months back is 60% complete as far as i think so since most of the work from foundations , ceilings, 3 storey building architecture, the plasters are all done, even the pipe fitting for gas , water and the sewerage system i believe is installed. The left over work is of the finishing , paints. installing the delta faucets , my father plans to put the best among delta kitchen faucets and the delta bath faucet in the kitchens and bathrooms respectively, the windows are to be done soon and the marble floor is sooner or later going to be selected. The best part and my favorite at least is the outer look and its planned to be rock walled unlike the dry stone though , its a kind of new technology as per the use is concerned and looks really amazing with one not having to worry about painting the house over and over again. The main gate for the house am not sure about it yet but i want a decent one to be put in there and i’ll have to talk to my dad about it specially;).

I am more than worried about my room , it has a huge window at the front and a big rack for cupboard, etc for clothes and stuff but it has a shared bathroom and that too very small in size.Though i plan to get it designed myself but since am back at the dorms here and the construction is in the full swing i really can’t help much though i really want to:)

Or are they fond of too much ads that will eat your brains out, you certainly won’t like to watch a movie that plays for 15 minutes and the rest 30 minutes all it runs are rubbish ads of universities, institutes etc. Here at my end though we don’t have much choice since that’s the best they could do for us since they’re not well backed up with a good investment in a medium city so they don’t have much options.

In Pakistan though Wateen Telecom is probably one of the best for its service and uniqueness at the moment providing a phone,WiFi High-Speed Internet and Cable Tv But in the foreign countries when you look out broadly, you’ll find out that there are plenty of such companies that give you  services that now a days we can expect only from the Telecommunication sector companies only. One of them amongst them for instance is Cox Television, the company has a great list of value added services for a consumer like my type who wish to have all in one deal from a same company so that in case of emergency they don’t have to bother several companies, this very company has a great deal of offerings that an average tech-savvy user can benefit from, those Cox services are all in a Cox bundle packages that include a Home Phone, a High Speed Broadband internet and Cable television. So what more do you expect from a single company under one roof and that too at the best prices and deals~

In one of our previous posts here….we talked about the prices of toner and printer being the same so we thought it was a good idea to get a new printer rather than getting the toner that has the same price. Today we talk about the cartridges, since the Laser Jet and Desk Jet printers entered the market making the other dot matrix and slow printers go on a long vacation there have been various developments, the cartridges work fast, they have a better impression, have had there prices reduced with the every latest innovation in this industry and the best of all reliable.

When it comes to toners, they are more expensive here probably because they are mostly made in China and we have to have them imported, on the other hand the inkjet cartridges the more they look technically advanced are cheaper though they are also imported from the same place, but its all about the quality of the cartridge that produces the best results on paper. Say goodbye to dot matrix era, Ink Jets , Laser Jets and Desk Jets are working more accurately, cheaply and reliably~

I really mean it when i say show love to your carpet, the reason is that i am sure if you lay down and closely examine your carpet there are more 75% chances that what it looks like a clean and well maintained rag or carpet, is loaded with dust and particles that can cause many diseases. Now this may sound a bit odd since am speaking generally and not quoting some scientific research but because every dust particle i assume carries some virus or germs, there is a probability it may do some damage in the long run. So its a good idea to have your carpets cleaned at least once a week with some heavy Vacuum cleaners even if at home (try dyson vacuum since they are from a company that makes health products and also reasonable at price apart from the quality cleansing it does).

I speak of all this since i live in a hostel with 2 other morons unfortunately my roommates who are not fond of keeping themselves or the room clean, the result is that mostly both of them end up having sever coughing and throat infections due to the dust in the carpets as well as there blankets, though i try to clean my things properly but the dust always lie at there end and i can’t be cleaning the room every time for them so even i end up having infections. If you follow me and my advices not only can you be healthy but be clean.

I thought only Toyota was the leader in the off-road land cruiser vehicles and seriously i never even knew what other companies other than Mitsubishi makes them because of there market capture in my country, but mainly due to lack of interest in the vehicles is the one reason i never heard of General Motors Company making them.It was just while i randomly saw this giant stylish and sexy looking gmc envoy over the web when i knew GMC was into land cruisers as well. Just look at the thing, doesn’t it makes you feel like “I wanna test drive;)”.
